The shoe was developed in close partnership with extreme mountaineer and DYNAFIT athlete Andy Steindl. He knows exactly what speed tours come down to and infused all of his expertise into this: The Elevation WP has a comfortable, lightly insulated boot liner for comfort on long tours. The outer material with its high-cut gaiter is water proof and boasts particularly long-lasting durability. It protects your feet reliably from stones and snow, and keeps you dry in wet conditions. At the heel, the Elevation WP boasts an insert for mounting semi-automatic crampons, making it ideally suited for use on mixed terrain. For increased rigidity and toughness, the shoe features a full-length Pebax® plate. This plate has been integrated between the insole and midsole and is raised at the heel so that the lever from the crampon closes securely and doesn’t pinch. At the same time, the midsole inspired by trail running guarantees a fluid movement sequence to preserve your energy and keep your pace up. An extra thickly padded tongue prevents the crampon attachment from pressing on your instep. On technical terrain, the time-tested Vibram® Megagrip sole proves its strengths and wins points with its perfect grip and traction. Thanks to the innovative Litebase Technology, it is approximately 30 percent lighter than prior Megagrip soles. Elevation WP – the maximum in minimum on high-alpine terrain.
