Biography
Andreas Steindl was born in 1989 in Zermatt and grew up with the Valais Alps on his doorstep. He was drawn to the mountains at an early age – no wonder, as he is the son of a mountain guide. After training as a carpenter, he officially became a mountain and ski guide in 2011. Until 2018 was Andi part of the Swiss ski mountaineering national team and collected World Cup successes. Today he chases new speed records in the Alps and relies completely on DYNAFIT.

Biggest Dream: I don’t have any really big dreams. After all, my life is already a dream. But one goal is to become an old mountain guide. I want to always bring my clients and myself safely home from the mountains and, when I’m older and my health is good, still be able to climb mountains.
What inspires you: These incredible moments in the mountains and the joy and energy I feel there - whether alone, with friends or with clients - are simply indescribable.
Favourite Summit: As someone from Zermatt, the Matterhorn is my obvious choice. It’s simply my favourite mountain. I can admire it every morning from home, and I’ve had many unique and beautiful experiences on it. It’s my source of energy.
