SkiMo Highlights 2025: Are you ready to #SPEEDUP?

Winter 2025 is just around the corner, and with that a series of exciting skimo events that athletes should have marked red on their race calendars. At DYNAFIT, racing is in our DNA and therefore we are once again proudly sponsoring some of the most exciting races of the season. The focus is on our 4 key races, which are the Jennerstier, Vertical Up, Sellaronda Skimarathon and, as the pinnacle of the season, the Trofeo Mezzalama. These events are all super special to us, since they impressively reflect the broad fascination of everyday athletes for ski mountaineering racing!

Jennerstier

One of the first competitive spectacles of the season, sponsored by DYNAFIT, will await athletes on the third weekend in February in Berchtesgaden. Backed by the brand, the 19th annual “Jennerstier” (Beast of Jenner) will be crowned. This race takes place on the edge of the only German Alpine national park – Berchtesgaden National Park – and is the oldest and most demanding ski race in Germany. Around 600 athletes can show off their skills in 3 disciplines: Vertical, Individual & Mixed Relay!

Date: February 15-16, 2025
Location: Jenner, Berchtesgaden, Germany

Streif Vertical Up

In February 2025 the famous “Streif” in Kitzbühel (AUT) – one of the most difficult alpine ski tracks in the world – transforms into a stage for the Vertical Up. With a distance of 3.3 kilometers and a gradient up to 85 percent, it boasts 860 meters of elevation gain. The special feature at this race: No matter if you are on touring skis, snowshoes, or spiked running shoes - just get to the top as fast as possible. Even the line taken on the piste is up to each participant. The fastest athletes complete this steep “wall” in only 30 minutes!

Trofeo Mezzalama

The Trofeo Mezzalama is probably the most challenging skimo race worldwide and the reason for this is obvious: The 42km course comes with 3.200 meters of elevation gain and leads athletes up to 4.225m crossing several majestic glaciers and highly technical terrain. In a team of 3, participants must work well together and be in excellent shape to withstand the complex challenges this race comes with. However, all ski mountaineers are rewarded with first-row views to famous peaks like Matterhorn, Castor, Lyskamm & Breithorn!

Location: Breuil-Cervinia, Italy

Sellaronda Skimarathon

Every once a year this legendary team night race attracts 1.300 participants from all over the world to #speedup around the famous Sella massif in the Italian Dolomites. At this adrenalin-filled on-piste event athletes must complete 42 kilometers with a total of 2.700 meters of elevation gain. The spectacular course crosses 4 mountain passes and winds through the most beautiful villages of the region. To succeed, athletes must show a great portion of team spirit and outstanding physical capabilities!
